2015: A Beginning of "Caring"
The story of Loclypos begins with a heartbreaking experience for founder Mark. In the summer of 2015, his beloved corgi got separated from him in a park. Although he was eventually found with the help of passersby, the panic and fear he felt during that half-hour made him deeply aware of the weight of "invisible caring." It was also during that time that he realized the existing positioning devices on the market were either cumbersome and difficult to use, or lacked accuracy. He wondered, "Why can't there be a device that not only pinpoints a location, but also acts like an 'invisible guardian,' discreet yet always present?"
With this question in mind, Mark, along with several partners deeply involved in IoT and communications technology, wrote the first line of code for Loclypos in a small garage in Silicon Valley. The brand name "Loclypos" was born: "Loc" comes from "Location," "pos" from "Position," and the "ly" in the middle embodies the team's original aspiration: to protect every concern that needs to be seen, just like "gently" and "steadily," using delicate and reliable technology.
Philosophy: The warmth of technology, hidden in "just right" positioning
From its inception, Loclypos has firmly believed that good positioning technology should not be cold coordinates, but rather "warm connections." Our core philosophy has always been "precision without overstepping boundaries, protection without intrusion"—we must achieve centimeter-level positioning accuracy, allowing users to "find their location instantly when needed," while also respecting privacy. Our device design adheres to "user-directed permissions," with data only accessible to authorized users, ensuring that those being located feel cared for, not monitored.
This philosophy became the benchmark for the team as they refined their products: To make the device portable for seniors, we made it the size of a credit card or a button; to keep pets comfortable, we used food-grade silicone for the collar; and to reduce the bulk in children's backpacks, we embedded the device in a cartoon charm, turning "protection" into a small item they love.

But we always remember: while the chips in our devices may be updated and the algorithms refined, our original aspiration of "finding a place for concern" will never change.
